B.Com (Bachelor of Commerce)
Bachelor of Commerce is an undergraduate program in Commerce. It has gained importance in the past few years and has become an essential qualification desired by the business organizations. On completion of the course, the student gains access to higher educational opportunities in the field of business and commerce such as ACCA, CA, MBA and M.COM. The Bachelor of Commerce degree is designed to provide the students with a wide range of managerial skills, while building in them competences for many areas of business organizations. - Becoming Accountants, Auditors, Information Systems Officers, Taxation Specialists and Customer Relationship Officers.

1. Career as an accountant : The major role of an Accountant is to measure, interpret and communicate specialized information that helps people make management and investment decisions concerning organizations. The field of Accounting offers stimulating and challenging work that is constantly evolving.
2. Career as an Auditor : includes checking accounting ledgers and financial statements within Corporations and Government. It allows one to really understand how money is being made in the company that one is analyzing.
3. Career in Human resource : B.Com. Graduates are preferred in the H.R. Departments of Corporate Sector as they gain fundamental knowledge of finance, marketing, operations and systems, budgeting and business planning which are clear pre-requisites for HR professionals.
4. Careers in Market Research and Marketing Management : Commerce graduate having studied marketing and marketing management can take up employment in management, consultation, product management, market research, and public relations — in the Promotional and Advertising Sectors. Research profile involves designing the study, dealing with clients, presenting research findings, making recommendations and acting as account managers responsible for handling a part of the whole research project.
5. Openings in B.P.O (Business Process Outsourcing): It includes customer service interaction, call centres, and back-office operations for institutions like banking, revenue, market research and insurance companies. These jobs require decision-making capabilities, knowledge of Banking, Insurance, Accounting and Human Resource Management, all of which found in the Commerce Graduates. BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration) Bachelor of Business Administration is a three-year full time course that is designed to give rise to future professionals, rather than mere degree holders. Keeping in mind the needs of the industry, this course has a completely different approach to learning which helps students find immediate employment. Most of the subjects taught in the BBA course, be it areas of management like marketing, finance, systems or human resource management, are similar to that in the MBA program. Theoretical concepts learnt in the classroom are supported by practical experience in the form of projects, presentations, industrial visits and summer placements, thereby making the course a complete learning experience. The obvious choice for most students after BBA is opting for a post-graduation—an MBA. Having prior knowledge of different aspects of management enables a BBA graduate to crack the MBA entrance exams, as compared to commerce graduates.
